Greetings Cruisers,
The next Lake Country Cruisers Car & Bike Show will be May 10, 2025. We won’t be back until October 11, 2025. But we all need a car show every few weeks. As they come up in Highlands County, we will let you know.

This Friday, April 25, 2025, don’t miss the “Placid Nights on Interlake Car and Boat Show”. This is an early evening show that starts at 5 PM and goes to 8 PM. Many of the Lake Placid shops and restaurants will be open!

And “The Lee Alcorn Band” will provide musical entertainment.

The sun doesn’t set on Friday until 7:56 PM, so there’ll be enough light to enjoy the cars, and it should get cooler as the show goes on.

Dock 633’s New “Sand Bar” Tiki Bar Grand Opening This Saturday Afternoon

Busy Saturday? Hang out with us and enjoy Dock 633’s new outside Tiki Bar, the “Sand Bar”

Greetings Cruisers! Dock 633 has been a very generous sponsor to us with $50 Gift Certificates that we use for our 50/50 Runner-Up prizes. (NICE!) Recently, owners Bill and Hillary asked us to stage a Car Show as part of the Grand Opening of their new “Sand Bar” outside Tiki bar.

The Show’n Shine Car & Bike show will begin at 11 am and run until around 2 pm.

The new tiki bar area is under a big shade tree with tent coverings, and there will be Live music. Drinks will be served outside, and lunch can be ordered from inside and then enjoyed outside.

As this is a Show’n Shine event, with no registration fee, but, we’ll have a 50/50!

Lake Country Cruisers July 2022 Meet’n Eat at Cowpoke’s Watering Hole

Great Steaks, Lunch Specials, Entries, & Service at one of Sebring’s Premier Restaurants

Dateline: 7-22-22 – Well, the hungry Cruisers descended upon Cowpoke’s Watering Hole to tie on the ‘ol feed bag! It was a hot, sunny summer Florida day, but cool in the Watering Hole’s private back room. With twenty Cruisers in attendance, we filled half of the room.

A very good time was had by all; lots of laughs, joking, story-telling, and comradely. That’s what our monthly Meet’n Eat luncheons are all about.

And a special “Thanks” to Cowpoke’s Watering Hole. Our waitress was excellent, the food was perfect, and everyone felt welcome. We’ll definitely do it again!

Cowpoke’s Watering Hole has a lot to offer. The outside Tiki bar is a delight, the inside air-conditioned dining rooms was relaxing, and the restaurant can accommodate special events, such as Lake Country Cruiser’s Meet’n Eat luncheons! – Scott, Pete, & Ron

Dateline: 6.4.22 – Greetings hungry Cruisers! Pete just confirmed that our next “tie on the ‘ol feed-bag” Meet’n Eat luncheon will be at Beef O’Brady’s on June 23, from 2 pm to 4 pm.

If you have never been to Beef O’Brady’s it’s easy to get to.

The Tower is on the left, just before the LEFT turn onto Tower Street.

If you are coming from Sebring headed South, the restaurant is located on Rt. 27, in between the only two traffic lights in Lake Placid. The shopping center is on the LEFT side of Rt. 27, the same side as The Tower.

Cookie Jar “Full of Cheer” Raffle at March 12, 2022 Lake Country Cruisers Car Show

Dateline: 2.24.22 – At the last Lake Country Cruisers Car Show Gary & Peggy Pixley brought us a very sweet, hand-made by “Kathy’s Top 1940s”, 1940 Ford Cookie Jar. The convertible top” is the lid to the cookie jar. It even has a “Certificate of Title for Street Rod”. The “Title Number” is 064-1992, which leads us to guess that the cookie jar was made in 1992.

George Silsby said, “Maybe we should raffle it off?” Then I said, “This should be filled with bright-colored Jolly Rancher candies.” Pete went pie-eyed and said, “We could fill it up with those little booze bottles!” And we all said, “Yea!”

So, here’s the deal, Cruisers. We were able to stuff 17 little bottles of Cheer into our 1940 Ford Convertible cookie jar! REALLY! The bottles that are not sticking up, are under the hood and trunk areas.

At our next Lake Country Cruisers Car Show at the American Legion (March 12, 2022), we will be raffling off this sweet 1940 Ford Convertible Cookie Jar Full of Cheer, for just $5 per ticket.
