November & December Car Shows & Christmas Parade

Greetings Cruisers!
   A BIG THANKS to everyone who came to last Saturday’s Lake Country Cruisers Car & Bike Show. Officially, we had 65 cars. Everyone had a good time, the burgers were most excellent, and our doggie friends enjoyed themselves too!

We have a few upcoming events to let you know about.

The City of Avon Park will be hosting evening Friday Night Hometown Hangout Car Shows on the 2nd Friday of every month, starting Friday, November 14, 2025, 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The location is 3 North Museum Ave, Avon Park, FL.

There will be Vendors, Food Trucks, Entertainment, Dancing, Yard Games, and More!

So, ink that to your calendar.

The next Lake Country Cruisers Car & Bike Show will be Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 11 AM to 1:30 PM at the Lake Placid American Legion Post 25, on Rt. 27, in Lake Placid.

You Are Invited To Be In the Parade!

Later that evening, all Lake Country Cruisers are invited to participate in the Annual Lake Placid Christmas Parade. If you’d like to be in the parade, meet up with us on the access road to Publix, behind the parking lot, behind the Lake Placid Wawa, before 7 PM. If you’ve never been “in” a parade, it’s a lot of fun! It doesn’t get more “Americana” than the Lake Placid Christmas Parade.

Then on December 31, 2025 (New Year’s Eve), there will be a Car Show on the Sebring Circle to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the 12 Hours of Sebring that took place on December 31, 1950! The event is from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. There will be a Car Show with vintage race cars and local street machines, there will be a “Kid’s Car Race”, Vendors, Live Music, and Fireworks.

Greetings Cruisers!
   It’s so nice to experience temps daily, not so “HOT!”.

Our next Lake Country Cruisers Car & Bike show is coming up soon, on Saturday, October 11, 2025. We’ll be back at our favorite location, the American Legion Post 25 parking lot.

The Legion’s Kitchen will be offering hot, juicy burgers for lunch.

Here’s the rundown for the Cruisers’ Car & Bike Shows for the rest of 2025 and the first half of 2026. All of our shows, unless otherwise noted, will be at the American Legion, Post 25, on Rt. 27, in Lake Placid, Florida.

All Lake Country Cruiser Car & Bike Shows are family friendly. Bring the kids, the grand kiddos, heck, bring the dog too! We like dogs, just keep them on a leash, and clean up after them.

Admission is just $5.00 per car. We have cool door prizes, Rock’n Roll music, Cruiser of the Month, and a generous 50/50.

Saturday, July 26, 2025 Caladium Festival Car & Bike Show!

Greetings Cruisers,
   If you’re itching for a car show, the local BIG ONE is here! Tomorrow, Saturday, July 26, 2025, is the Annual 2025 Caladium Festival Car & Bike Show.

Cars of all kinds, motorcycles, vendors, and food trucks will take over the Lake Placid Devane Circle, starting at 8:00 AM and closing with trophy awards at 1:00 PM.

Arrive early to get a shady spot for parking!

Goodie bags for the first 150 participants.

DJ entertainment will be provided by Jeremy of Mobile Music and More.

Spectator admission is free.

The show is part of the annual Lake Placid Caladium Festival.

Lake Country Cruisers Saturday Car & Bike Show Starts 10 AM

Greetings Cruisers,
   Saturday, May 10, 2025, will be our last Lake Country Cruisers Car & Bike Show for the season. Our shows will resume on Saturday, October 11, 2025.

Have you noticed that our beautiful winter and early spring weather is behind us? Yes, now it’s HOT! So, this Saturday’s Car & Bike show will officially start an hour earlier, 10 AM to 12:30 PM. We don’t want anyone melting!

Also, we are anticipating a lot of motorcycles at the show. American Legion Post 25 now has an official Legion Riders Chapter. Their first monthly meeting is this Saturday at 10:30 AM. We have let the Riders know that they are welcome to the Lake Country Cruisers Car & Bike Show. There’s room in the parking lot for everyone.

If you are an American Legion member, you can be a Legion Riders Supporter for just $15 a year. Then you can wear the “Legion Riders Supporter” rocker on your shirt sleeve. Even if you don’t have a motorcycle. We love machines at Lake Country Cruisers; two, three, four, six, or eight wheels!

As we move through the summer months, as car and bike shows pop up, we’ll let you know what’s happening and when. The Caladium Car & Bike Show is scheduled for Saturday, July 26, 2025.

Greetings Cruisers!
   Just a quick reminder, our next Lake Country Cruisers Car & Bike Show will be Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the American Legion Post 25 in Lake Placid, Florida. The show starts at 11 a.m. and wraps up around 1:30 p.m.

THIS JUST IN! 

Many of our Cruisers are also motorcycle riders. American Legion Post 25 will officially launch “Legion Riders Post 25” in a few weeks. 

Legion Riders love to get in the wind and go places together. As the Post 25 outfit schedules Poker Runs and other fund-raiser riding events, we will let you know. If you are a member of the American Legion, you can be a Legion Riders member for only $15 a year! 

So, if you have a two or three-wheeler ride, let’s see it at the next show!

Greetings Cruisers!
   Tomorrow morning we will meet at the Moose Lodge on Rt. 98 so that we can all go into the show and park together. We will be LEAVING the Moose Lodge at 8 AM, so show up a little early.

The weather will be Florida perfect!

All our Cruisers friends with tickets are invited to Pete Richie’s RV on Sunday at noon for hot dogs on the grill and other goodies!

We have some information about the 2025 SVRA Hagerty Cars & Caffeine Show on February 20-23, 2025. Toni Strollo has retired from SVRA after many years and as of today, they are not offering advanced sales discounts. The ticket price for all three days is just $50 for two people in a car. The 13th Annual Crazy Pepper Chili Cookoff & Classic Car Show will take place on Saturday, January 18th, 2025 at the Sebring Downtown Circle, from 11 am to 3:30 PM.

The cars should enter from the north of North Ridgewood Drive at North Pine Street. Cars should arrive NO LATER THAN 10:30 AM.

   Our next Lake Country Cruisers Car & Bike Show will be on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at the American Legion Post 25 in Lake Placid, Florida. The show starts at 11 a.m. and wraps up around 1:30 p.m.

BIG weekend coming up this Saturday!

Greetings Cruisers!
   We have a few things to share with you today.

First, our next Lake Country Cruisers Car & Bike Show will be this Saturday, December 14, 2024, at the American Legion Post 25 in Lake Placid, Florida. The show starts at 11 a.m. and wraps up around 1:30 p.m. The weather forecast for Saturday is perfect, with highs in the upper 70s!

BIG Show announcement! The Lake Placid American Legion has a new Kitchen Chef, DeWayne. The Kitchen is open six days a week for Lunch and Dinner and has an expanded menu, meaning you can get more than burgers and hot dogs!

Second, the Town of Lake Placid will host its Annual Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 14, 2024, the same day we are having our Car Show. Lake Country Cruisers has again been invited to be part of the Christmas Parade!

Lake Country Cruisers Car Show THIS SATURDAY!

Greetings Cruisers!
Just a quick reminder that Lake Country Cruisers will be hosting a CAR PARTY this Saturday, November 9, 2024, at American Legion Post 25, on Rt. 27 in Lake Placid, Florida; and YOU’RE INVITED!

Our Car and Bike Show starts at 11 AM and wraps at 1:30 PM. The Post 25 BBQ grille will be fired up, and burgers and hot dogs will be served from 12 Noon to 2 PM. And YES, we love motorcycles, and if you have one, let’s see your ride!

Registration is still just $5 and we will have Rock’n Roll music, Door Prizes, a generous 50/50, and a 50/50 runner-up prize. It’s Car Show weather and we’re looking forward to seeing all of you!

Bring a friend, bring the kids and grandkids, and your dog too! (just keep Fido on a leash and clean up after your pooch!) See y’all Saturday!

Veteran’s Day Special Events

There are two special events planned for Veteran’s Day, November 11, 2024. American Legion Post 25 is hosting a Veteran’s Day Luncheon, on Monday, November 11, 2024, from 11 AM to 2 PM.

The catered lunch is FREE to all Vets, police, fire, and first responders. This is Post 25’s way of saying, “Thank you for your service”!

After lunch, you can motor over to Fireman’s Field in Sebring for the Highlands County Veterans Day RED, WHITE, & BLUE Car Show and Parade. The car show starts at 3 PM. There is no registration fee. For more information contact James “Pappy” Wright at… pappysmad@gmail.com

Here is the Lake Country Cruisers Car & Bike Show Schedule covering November 2024 to May 2025. Unless noted, all our shows will be at the Lake Placid American Legion, Post 25 on Rt. 27 in Lake Placid, Florida.

Tomorrows Lake Country Cruisers Car Show is CANCELED

   What’a week! Just a quick note to let you all know that the October Lake Country Cruisers Car & Bike Show is CANCELED.

There are still folks without electricity and messes to clean up.

1st Annual Avon Park Main Street Showdown – 11-2-24

   The nasty hot weather won’t be with us too much longer and before you know it, you’ll be at another Lake Country Cruisers Car & Bike Show.

Just a Few Announcements

On Saturday, November 2, 2024, in Avon Park, Red’s Auto Options will sponsor the 1st Annual Main Street Showdown Car Show. The show will be held at 106 W. Main Street in Avon Park; from 4 pm to 9 pm.

DOCK 633 Show’n Shine Car & Bike Show

Bill & Hillary, owners of DOCK 633 asked if Lake Country Cruisers would like to stage a small Show’n Shine in their parking lot. We did this in May 2023 and had a great time under the trees.

The DOCK 633 Show’n Shine will happen on Saturday, October 5,  2 from 11 am to 1:30 pm. Hope to see you then.

Lastly, Lake Country Cruisers will be back in action on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at the Lake Placid American Legion from 11 am to 1:30 pm. This will be our typical show: $5 registration, Door Prizes, 50/50, and Burgers & Dogs from 12 noon to 2 pm.
