Greetings Cruisers!
Just a quick reminder. Our next Lake Country Cruisers Car Show will be this Saturday, February 14, 2025, at the Lake Placid American Legion on Route 27 in Lake Placid.

Yes, it’s Valentine’s Day, so be sure to bring your sweetie!

The Lake Country Cruiser Show officially begins at 11:00 am and concludes at 1:30 pm. The Legion will be serving burgers and hot dogs, so ring your appetite along.

We are getting a few questions about the big SVRA 2026 Sebring Speed Tour.The date is February 26, 2026, to March 1, 2026.

Greetings Cruisers!
We had a PERFECT Lake Country Cruisers Car Show yesterday! The weather was perfect, and we had 90 cars! A BIG THANKS to everyone who attended.

And if you missed yesterday’s Car Show, we’ll do it again, Saturday, February 14, 2026.

Our Cruiser of the Month was Brian and Cindy Yacoboni and their beautiful 1968 Mustang.

Thanks to our great attendance, our 50/50 payout was $200! And our winner was Victor Cabrera. Victor’s son was the youngest attendee at the show, so we put him to work pulling the 50/50 winner.

And wouldn’t you know it, after shaking the tickets thoroughly, the young lad pulled one of his Dad’s 50/50 tickets! It’s a game of chance, and it was the Cabrera Family’s Lucky Day!

Our 50/50 runner-up winner was Sylvia Westover (on right). Sylvia took home a $50 gift card for Dock 633!

So, CONGRATS to our winners!

Just a quick reminder. Our next Lake Country Cruisers Car & Bike Show will be this Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the Lake Placid American Legion on Route 27 in Lake Placid. JOIN THE LAKE PLACID CHRISTMAS PARADE!

Later that evening, Lake Country Cruisers is invited to be part of Lake Placid’s Annual Christmas Parade. The parade launches around 7 pm, but the line-up starts at 5-ish in the Publix parking lot behind Wana.

If you have never been IN a parade, it’s a lot of fun!
Everyone is so happy, cheering, and waving.
It doesn’t get more small-town Americana than this!

We hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday! A few things to let you know. Our next Lake Country Cruisers Car & Bike Show will be Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the Lake Placid American Legion on Route 27 in Lake Placid. Greetings Cruisers!
A BIG THANKS to everyone who came to last Saturday’s Lake Country Cruisers Car & Bike Show. Officially, we had 65 cars. Everyone had a good time, the burgers were most excellent, and our doggie friends enjoyed themselves too!

We have a few upcoming events to let you know about.

The City of Avon Park will be hosting evening Friday Night Hometown Hangout Car Shows on the 2nd Friday of every month, starting Friday, November 14, 2025, 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The location is 3 North Museum Ave, Avon Park, FL.

There will be Vendors, Food Trucks, Entertainment, Dancing, Yard Games, and More!

So, ink that to your calendar.

The next Lake Country Cruisers Car & Bike Show will be Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 11 AM to 1:30 PM at the Lake Placid American Legion Post 25, on Rt. 27, in Lake Placid.

You Are Invited To Be In the Parade!

Later that evening, all Lake Country Cruisers are invited to participate in the Annual Lake Placid Christmas Parade. If you’d like to be in the parade, meet up with us on the access road to Publix, behind the parking lot, behind the Lake Placid Wawa, before 7 PM. If you’ve never been “in” a parade, it’s a lot of fun! It doesn’t get more “Americana” than the Lake Placid Christmas Parade.

Greetings Cruisers!
Just a quick update reminder. Our first Lake Country Cruisers Car Show is THIS SATURDAY, November 8, 2025, 11 AM to 1:30 PM.

The official start time is 11 AM, but we know you’ll be there earlier! We just get to hang out longer.

Our location is the same, the American Legion Post 25 parking lot.

The Legion’s backyard grille will be offering thick, hot, juicy burgers for lunch. You get’n hungry, or what?

R.I.P. to our friend, Dick Roddie

It is with a heavy heart that we have to inform you that our Cruiser pal, Dick Roddie, died on October 23, 2025. Dick and Marilyn’s two 1931 V-12 Cadillacs were always a crowd favorite. Their black 1958 Corvette with its period-correct chrome Cragar wheels is a beauty, too!

In the spring of 2023, Dick and Marilyn were invited to bring their 1931 V-12 Cadillacs to Sebring Raceway for a photo shoot celebrating the track’s then-new Cadillac Racing sponsorship.

*Dick, Marilyn, and Sierra are in front of their beautiful Cadillac Service Center-themed garage next to their home in Placid Lakes, Florida.*

The only thing missing from Dick & Marilyn’s outfits is a Thompson submachine gun!

Spring Lake Improvement District Festival & Car Show

FESTIVAL AND CAR SHOW!

Greetings Cruisers!
Here’s a Car Show update for ya!

You won’t want to miss the October 25th Festival, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Pine Breeze Park and the Community Center.

Over 100 vendors, food trucks, exhibitors, contests; Octoberfest beer tent; inflatables and bounce houses for kids; and much more.

Many are expected; if you have a golf cart, you are encouraged to bring it.

Plan to attend this exciting event.

And THANK YOU to all the people who are volunteering to make the Festival a success.

The Race Track has announced a 36-hour test beginning October 30, so expect to hear the cars.

Join us, Saturday, August 16th, for a fun-filled day on Main Street in downtown Avon Park.

There will be food, live music, and, oh yeah, an awesome Classic Car Show and Shine.

Bring your classic car, your chair, umbrella, fan, sweat rag, and water!

Bring the kids, the grandkids, and invite the neighbors.

Greetings Cruisers,
If you’re itching for a car show, the local BIG ONE is here! Tomorrow, Saturday, July 26, 2025, is the Annual 2025 Caladium Festival Car & Bike Show.

Cars of all kinds, motorcycles, vendors, and food trucks will take over the Lake Placid Devane Circle, starting at 8:00 AM and closing with trophy awards at 1:00 PM.

Arrive early to get a shady spot for parking!

Goodie bags for the first 150 participants.

DJ entertainment will be provided by Jeremy of Mobile Music and More.

Spectator admission is free.

The show is part of the annual Lake Placid Caladium Festival.

“The Encounter” July 4th Event & Car Show UPDATE

Last week, we told you about the BIG EVENT on the Lake Placid, Florida, Tower Parking Lot, “The Encounter”. This will be an all-day event with lots of food trucks, music, activities, and a Car Show.

The Car Show part of “The Encounter” will run from 1 to 3 PM.

Lake Country Cruisers Saturday Car & Bike Show Starts 10 AM

Greetings Cruisers,
Saturday, May 10, 2025, will be our last Lake Country Cruisers Car & Bike Show for the season. Our shows will resume on Saturday, October 11, 2025.

Have you noticed that our beautiful winter and early spring weather is behind us? Yes, now it’s HOT! So, this Saturday’s Car & Bike show will officially start an hour earlier, 10 AM to 12:30 PM. We don’t want anyone melting!

Also, we are anticipating a lot of motorcycles at the show. American Legion Post 25 now has an official Legion Riders Chapter. Their first monthly meeting is this Saturday at 10:30 AM. We have let the Riders know that they are welcome to the Lake Country Cruisers Car & Bike Show. There’s room in the parking lot for everyone.

If you are an American Legion member, you can be a Legion Riders Supporter for just $15 a year. Then you can wear the “Legion Riders Supporter” rocker on your shirt sleeve. Even if you don’t have a motorcycle. We love machines at Lake Country Cruisers; two, three, four, six, or eight wheels!

As we move through the summer months, as car and bike shows pop up, we’ll let you know what’s happening and when. The Caladium Car & Bike Show is scheduled for Saturday, July 26, 2025.

Greetings Cruisers!
Just a quick reminder, our next Lake Country Cruisers Car & Bike Show will be Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the American Legion Post 25 in Lake Placid, Florida. The show starts at 11 a.m. and wraps up around 1:30 p.m.

THIS JUST IN!

Many of our Cruisers are also motorcycle riders. American Legion Post 25 will officially launch “Legion Riders Post 25” in a few weeks.

Legion Riders love to get in the wind and go places together. As the Post 25 outfit schedules Poker Runs and other fund-raiser riding events, we will let you know. If you are a member of the American Legion, you can be a Legion Riders member for only $15 a year!

So, if you have a two or three-wheeler ride, let’s see it at the next show!

This Saturday, Placid Lakes is having its end-of-year membership drive. What better way to bring the community out than a Show’n Shine Car Show? Here are the details.

Time: 10 AM to 2:00 PM
Entrance Fee: No Entrance Fee!
