Greetings Cruisers!
We had a PERFECT Lake Country Cruisers Car Show yesterday! The weather was perfect, and we had 90 cars! A BIG THANKS to everyone who attended.

And if you missed yesterday’s Car Show, we’ll do it again, Saturday, February 14, 2026.

Our Cruiser of the Month was Brian and Cindy Yacoboni and their beautiful 1968 Mustang.

Thanks to our great attendance, our 50/50 payout was $200! And our winner was Victor Cabrera. Victor’s son was the youngest attendee at the show, so we put him to work pulling the 50/50 winner.

And wouldn’t you know it, after shaking the tickets thoroughly, the young lad pulled one of his Dad’s 50/50 tickets! It’s a game of chance, and it was the Cabrera Family’s Lucky Day!

Our 50/50 runner-up winner was Sylvia Westover (on right). Sylvia took home a $50 gift card for Dock 633!

So, CONGRATS to our winners!

Avon Park Friday Night Hometown Hangout

Greetings Cruisers!
Just a quick reminder. Our next Lake Country Cruisers Car Show will be this Saturday, January 10, 2025, at the Lake Placid American Legion on Route 27 in Lake Placid.

The show officially begins at 11:00 am and concludes at 1:30 pm. The Legion will be serving burgers and hot dogs, so bring your appetite along.

Greetings Cruisers!
It’s so nice to experience temps daily, not so “HOT!”.

Our next Lake Country Cruisers Car & Bike show is coming up soon, on Saturday, October 11, 2025. We’ll be back at our favorite location, the American Legion Post 25 parking lot.

The Legion’s Kitchen will be offering hot, juicy burgers for lunch.

Here’s the rundown for the Cruisers’ Car & Bike Shows for the rest of 2025 and the first half of 2026. All of our shows, unless otherwise noted, will be at the American Legion, Post 25, on Rt. 27, in Lake Placid, Florida.

Greetings Cruisers,
If you’re itching for a car show, the local BIG ONE is here! Tomorrow, Saturday, July 26, 2025, is the Annual 2025 Caladium Festival Car & Bike Show.

Cars of all kinds, motorcycles, vendors, and food trucks will take over the Lake Placid Devane Circle, starting at 8:00 AM and closing with trophy awards at 1:00 PM.

Arrive early to get a shady spot for parking!

Goodie bags for the first 150 participants.

DJ entertainment will be provided by Jeremy of Mobile Music and More.

Spectator admission is free.

The show is part of the annual Lake Placid Caladium Festival.

Legion Post 25’s July 4th Birthday Picnic! Don’t Cook, Free Food, Party With Us!

Greetings Cruisers,
America’s 249^th Birthday is just around the corner, and American Legion Post 25 in Lake Placid has BIG PLANS.

This is a FREE event, open to the public, as well as all Veterans, 1st Responders, and their families.

Date: Friday, July 4, 2025, 11 AM to 8 PM.

Music: TWO BANDS! Calico from 2 to 5 pm and Randy Sullens from 5 to 8 PM.

Food: Commander’s Chicken Quarters on the BBQ, Smoked Brisket Sandwiches, Hot Dogs on the grill, and Ice Cream Floats. ($4.00, $6.00 “Spiked”)

To our GREAT patrons, everyone is invited to “bring something” good to eat!

Activities: Cornhole Tournament, Raffles, a 50/50, a Dunk Tank, and for the children, a 25 foot Water Slide, Face Painting, Clowns from the Lake Placid Clown College, and Balloons.

Bar Games: Chips Ahoy at 1 PM, and Queen of Hearts at 7 PM.

Happy Hour: 2 to 5 PM.

(Please remember, no food or drinks from the outside)

Although Lake Country Cruisers’ next Car & Bike Show isn’t until October 11, 2025, we last told you that we’d let you know of any car show activity during the summer.

On July 4^th, 2025, Americans will celebrate our 249^th birthday!

Heartland Fireworks will present “The Encounter,” a full day of fun events on July 4, 2025, from 9 AM to 11 PM.

Free Prizes, Free Giveaways, BOGOs, Veterans Discounts, and INSANE Combo Packages of fireworks. ← FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED… WE WILL SELL OUT! (They ONLY sell LEGAL fireworks!)

Location: The Tower Parking Lot, on Rt. 27, in beautiful Lake Placid, Florida.

Activities: Parking lot Show’n Shine Classic Car Show, a 50/50 Raffle, Battle of the Food Trucks from 9 AM to 10 PM. LIVE Broadcast & DJ on WWOJ.

Lake Country Cruisers Saturday Car & Bike Show Starts 10 AM

Greetings Cruisers,
Saturday, May 10, 2025, will be our last Lake Country Cruisers Car & Bike Show for the season. Our shows will resume on Saturday, October 11, 2025.

Have you noticed that our beautiful winter and early spring weather is behind us? Yes, now it’s HOT! So, this Saturday’s Car & Bike show will officially start an hour earlier, 10 AM to 12:30 PM. We don’t want anyone melting!

Also, we are anticipating a lot of motorcycles at the show. American Legion Post 25 now has an official Legion Riders Chapter. Their first monthly meeting is this Saturday at 10:30 AM. We have let the Riders know that they are welcome to the Lake Country Cruisers Car & Bike Show. There’s room in the parking lot for everyone.

If you are an American Legion member, you can be a Legion Riders Supporter for just $15 a year. Then you can wear the “Legion Riders Supporter” rocker on your shirt sleeve. Even if you don’t have a motorcycle. We love machines at Lake Country Cruisers; two, three, four, six, or eight wheels!

As we move through the summer months, as car and bike shows pop up, we’ll let you know what’s happening and when. The Caladium Car & Bike Show is scheduled for Saturday, July 26, 2025.

Placid Nights on Interlake Car & Boat Show 4-25-25, 5-8 PM

Greetings Cruisers,
The next Lake Country Cruisers Car & Bike Show will be May 10, 2025. We won’t be back until October 11, 2025. But we all need a car show every few weeks. As they come up in Highlands County, we will let you know.

This Friday, April 25, 2025, don’t miss the “Placid Nights on Interlake Car and Boat Show”. This is an early evening show that starts at 5 PM and goes to 8 PM. Many of the Lake Placid shops and restaurants will be open!

And “The Lee Alcorn Band” will provide musical entertainment.

The sun doesn’t set on Friday until 7:56 PM, so there’ll be enough light to enjoy the cars, and it should get cooler as the show goes on.

Greetings Cruisers!
Just a quick reminder, our next Lake Country Cruisers Car & Bike Show will be Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the American Legion Post 25 in Lake Placid, Florida. The show starts at 11 a.m. and wraps up around 1:30 p.m.

THIS JUST IN!

Many of our Cruisers are also motorcycle riders. American Legion Post 25 will officially launch “Legion Riders Post 25” in a few weeks.

Legion Riders love to get in the wind and go places together. As the Post 25 outfit schedules Poker Runs and other fund-raiser riding events, we will let you know. If you are a member of the American Legion, you can be a Legion Riders member for only $15 a year!

So, if you have a two or three-wheeler ride, let’s see it at the next show!

Just a quick reminder, The Lake Country Cruisers Car & Bike Show will be on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the American Legion Post 25 in Lake Placid, Florida. The show starts at 11 a.m. and wraps up around 1:30 p.m.

The Lake Placid American Legion has a new Kitchen Chef, DeWayne. The Kitchen is open six days a week for Lunch and Dinner and has an expanded menu, meaning you can get more than burgers and hot dogs!

We have some information about the 2025 SVRA Hagerty Cars & Caffeine Show on February 20-23, 2025. Toni Strollo has retired from SVRA after many years and as of today, they are not offering advanced sales discounts. The ticket price for all three days is just $50 for two people in a car.
