Legion Post 25’s July 4th Birthday Picnic! Don’t Cook, Free Food, Party With Us!

Greetings Cruisers,
   America’s 249th Birthday is just around the corner, and American Legion Post 25 in Lake Placid has BIG PLANS.

This is a FREE event, open to the public, as well as all Veterans, 1st Responders, and their families.

Date: Friday, July 4, 2025, 11 AM to 8 PM.

Music: TWO BANDS! Calico from 2 to 5 pm and Randy Sullens from 5 to 8 PM.

Food: Commander’s Chicken Quarters on the BBQ, Smoked Brisket Sandwiches, Hot Dogs on the grill, and Ice Cream Floats. ($4.00, $6.00 “Spiked”)

To our GREAT patrons, everyone is invited to “bring something” good to eat!

Activities: Cornhole Tournament, Raffles, a 50/50, a Dunk Tank, and for the children, a 25 foot Water Slide, Face Painting, Clowns from the Lake Placid Clown College, and Balloons.

Bar Games: Chips Ahoy at 1 PM, and Queen of Hearts at 7 PM.

Happy Hour: 2 to 5 PM.

(Please remember, no food or drinks from the outside)

“The Encounter” July 4th Event & Car Show UPDATE

   Last week, we told you about the BIG EVENT on the Lake Placid, Florida, Tower Parking Lot, “The Encounter”. This will be an all-day event with lots of food trucks, music, activities, and a Car Show.

The Car Show part of “The Encounter” will run from 1 to 3 PM.

Although Lake Country Cruisers’ next Car & Bike Show isn’t until October 11, 2025, we last told you that we’d let you know of any car show activity during the summer.

On July 4th, 2025, Americans will celebrate our 249th birthday!

Heartland Fireworks will present “The Encounter,” a full day of fun events on July 4, 2025, from 9 AM to 11 PM.

Free Prizes, Free Giveaways, BOGOs, Veterans Discounts, and INSANE Combo Packages of fireworks. ← FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED… WE WILL SELL OUT! (They ONLY sell LEGAL fireworks!)

Location: The Tower Parking Lot, on Rt. 27, in beautiful Lake Placid, Florida.

Activities: Parking lot Show’n Shine Classic Car Show, a 50/50 Raffle, Battle of the Food Trucks from 9 AM to 10 PM. LIVE Broadcast & DJ on WWOJ.

ROCK N’ JAM CONCERT: featuring The SLICKS Band, Ryzn Soulz, and Sweet Baby Luv, from 5 to 10 PM.

A Last Minute Reminder about Our July Show!

Greetings Cruisers! Just a last-minute reminder that our July Car & Bike Show at the Lake Placid American Legion Post 25, located on Rt. 27 in Lake Placid will be tomorrow EVENING, Sunday, July 2nd from 5 pm in the afternoon to 8 pm in the early evening.

Sunset Sunday evening is 8:24, so there’ll be plenty of time for everyone to get home before dark.

We’ll be doing all of our usual fun things; Rock’n Roll music, Door Prizes, a generous 50/50, a 50/50 Runner-Up prize, Cruiser of the Month, and Bike of the Month awards. The Legion’s outside grill will be cooking American food; burgers, hot dogs, and cheeseburgers.

If it is warm to hot, you can enjoy the Legion’s cool banquet room and entertainer Rob Stotz will be “Rock’n the Oldies” Live on stage. The Legion’s outstanding bar will be open. If you are not a Legion member, a Cruiser Legion member will be able to get you served at the bar! If you are not a Legion member, we can get you an application form to join the great American institution!

According to the hour-by-hour report on Weather.com, there is NO RAIN in the Sunday forecast!

So, come on out and celibate America’s 247th Independence Day weekend with a great Car & Bike Show! We are family-centered, so bring the kids, the grand kiddos, and the dog too!
